3 FREE Must Read Nook Books

I know that I’m suppose to be finding different things that I can do on my nook besides read books, but I can’t help but to pass along this series by Nicky Charles. Nicky Charles has published three books titled The Mating, The Finding and The Keeping. I came upon these books a few months ago when I was checking out the Free Nook Books section on the B&N website, and I am so glad that I did!

If you have read and love all the vampire series out there, then this will also be a sure hit with you! This series is a paranormal romance about werewolves and how they find their mates and keep their secret. I don’t want to tell you too much about these books, as I don’t want to give the story away, but I will tell you that I downloaded and had all three books read within 5 days (that is with working full-time and running with my children…lots of late nights!). They are jammed packed with romance and mystery! If you haven’t already, check them out!

Bubble Birds 2.0 (Con’t)

I have to admit, I started playing this game not understanding it at all and I got extremely frustrated and gave it to my husband so I could fix dinner. While I fixed dinner my husband played away.  While we ate dinner, he played away. While I watched Eclipse on Showtime, he played away. I began to think I was never going to see my nook again, when he finally had to do something; I snatched it back!

I sat down to start playing Bubble Birds again, and again, I got extremely frustrated. Not because the app had technical difficulty, but because the user was having a losing streak and not liking it! After dying several times and having to start back at level one, I finally made it to level 13 and beat my husband’s top score! Of course, he couldn’t handle that, so he took it back, giving me time to update my blog on the app (so he says).

The concept of the game is to tap on the screen where you want the item in the nest to go so that it pops the most birds or other objects floating down the screen, but if they get to the bottom before you pop them all, you lose a life. The item in the nest is either a different colored bird or a different type of bomb and you want to make it hit the birds that are floating down your screen that match what is in the nest, so that it makes them pop. Then when you get towards the top, there is a key in a bubble and that is what you need to hit in order to get to the next level, that is, if you can get to it before you die! There are 52 levels to beat, and it starts back over at level 1 every time you lose all of you lives, so I think this will be an app that will take me an extremely long time to ever beat (especially if I never get my nook back)!

Bubble Birds 2.0 by XIMAD, Inc.

My sister texted me yesterday, after checking out my blog and told me I should review Bubble Birds.

I logged in to B&N and to my surprise there were 3 apps for Bubble Birds and she didn't state which version to get, so I decided upon Bubble Birds 2.0.

So, as I know completely nothing about Bubble Birds, wish me luck as I start the review process!!

Free Fridays at Barnes & Noble

I'm not sure how many Barnes & Noble Nook owners are aware of a great blog that B&N has known as Free Fridays, but every Friday they post a book that is FREE just for that day. I've been visiting this blog for the last few months and downloading my free book and so far, most of them have been pretty good. But hey, even if they're not that good, what are you out? $0...That's right...Nothing
So, check it out at:
